An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a report carried out to assess the safety of the existing electrical installation within a property and is used to describe its condition.
Parts of the system that are reported on include consumer units, protective bonding, lighting, switches and sockets etc.
There are three codes with any issues that we find.

Code 1: This means that there is danger present and occupants are at increased risk of injury, so immediate action is required. An example could include accessible live conductors due to damage.
Code 2: This is not as severe as a Code 1 but is an issue that is potentially dangerous, so urgent action is required.
Code 3: This is where improvement is recommended and means that it does not comply with regulations but is not dangerous. It is advised that the issue is improved.
